He won six Selke Awards, a Stanley Cup and became a Black-and-Gold institution in his decades in uniform. But in reality, someone will have to take Bergeron’s place on the ice. And it appears Pavel Zacha will get every opportunity to take over as much of Bergeron’s work load that he can handle. On Tuesday in training camp, Zacha assumed the Bergeron role on the top power play, bringing his left shot to the bumper position. And on Wednesday, he was centering Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak, a slot Bergeron successfully occupied for years.
