Their toughness and tenacity championed.Instead, the Nuggets’ lethargic effort for most of the afternoon dug a hole too deep to recover from, resulting in a 122-120 loss to the Nets, their third consecutive loss. The defeat dropped them to 46-22 overall and 30-6 at home with a five-game road trip on deck.“It happens,” Nuggets coach Michael Malone said, citing another lopsided quarter that swung the game. “… We probably spoiled a lot of people.”Jokic finished with 35 points, 20 rebounds and 11 assists, nearly willing his team back from its huge deficit. That it came with Jamal Murray injured — he didn’t play late due to left knee soreness — would’ve made it even more impressive...

North Carolina slides from preseason No. 1 to no NCAA bid

Published Mon, 03 Mar 2025 20:34:37 GMT

North Carolina has gone from starting the season at No. 1 to missing the NCAA Tournament. The Tar Heels on Sunday officially became the first top-ranked team in The Associated Press preseason poll to miss March Madness since the field’s expansion to 64 teams in 1985.
