It is tied to heart disease and dementia. It is painful. Children whose teeth hurt can’t concentrate in school. Missing teeth lead to malnutrition. They are unsightly and often cost people employment opportunities. It does us no good for any of us to be unhealthy. It’s costly and it undermines our national security and our economy. So this celebratory article begs the question: How is it possible that in one of the wealthiest countries in the world we don’...San Francisco Mayor booed in UN Plaza, brick thrown in crowd

Holding the board of supervisors' meeting in UN Plaza was supposed to highlight problems plaguing the area and pitch solutions. "Many San Franciscans do not feel safe," Peskin said. "Brazen drug dealing and deteriorating street conditions have exacerbated a humanitarian crisis on our streets."San Francisco Police Department officers were positioned in UN Plaza for Tuesday's public meeting.
